You can only be reading this if you have opened IZA mel’s gift.
That’s why you have the opportunity to participate in our contest, but first let me tell you a story, Salgado’s story.
Salgado is one of the most famous photographers in the world. During the 90s he worked documenting the greatest human tragedies (wars, famines and genocides).
What he saw was so atrocious that, when he finished, he was left “without bones”. He lost faith in humanity and his body began to get sick.
I was literally dying of sadness.
Seeking refuge, he returned to his childhood farm in Minas Gerais. But he encountered another tragedy: what was once a rainforest paradise was now an arid desert barren due to deforestation. The earth was as dead as he was.
they did?
His wife, Lélia, had the idea: “Let’s replant the forest”.
They planted the first seed without knowing if it would work, but they realized that they couldn’t do it alone, so they created a team of people who lived in the area.
20 years later they had planted two million trees and regenerated 700 hectares of Amazonas.
Today, that dry land is once again a lush jungle.
Salgado recovered his health and desire to live when he saw that nature, like human beings, has an infinite power of regeneration.
You may be wondering why I’m telling you this
For years I have had to watch as hives that were vigorous and expanding ended up dying from pesticides.
I am honest with you if I tell you that grief and disappointment invaded me when I collected dead bees with my hands full at the entrance to my hives.
Maybe you don’t care at all what happens to pollinators.
Before I was a beekeeper, I didn’t even know that pollinators are the basis of our food chain.
I do not judge you
You may already have enough backpack problems to carry one more.
Alright.
We can’t do everything, nor do we need to.
But if only one person from whom you have acquired IZA sows one of the seeds, they will end up becoming the trees that will provide shelter and food to the pollinators,
It will have been worth it
One will help
It may be you.

How to awaken your seed:
1.Scarification: Scrape the skin of the seed a little with sandpaper or knife (without reaching the center).
2.Hydration: Leave it in warm water for 24 hours. You will see that it swells.
3.Sowing: Put it in a pot with soil 1 cm deep.
4.Patience: The carob tree is wise and in no hurry. Keep it moist but not waterlogged.
If you receive your seed in winter, we recommend planting it in a pot inside the house or in a sheltered and bright place. The carob tree loves the sun and heat; If you protect him from the cold while he is a baby, he will grow strong by the time it is time to return him to the mountains. You can use the jar itself as a pot.
